La Simatec Development Company aide des entités désignées à enfreindre les dispositions des Nations unies et les sanctions de l’UE à l’encontre de l’Iran et soutient directement les activités nucléaires de l’Iran posant un risque de prolifération. Dès le début de 2010, la Simatec a signé un contrat avec la Kalaye Electric Company (KEC), désignée par l’UE, en vue de l’acquisition de convertisseurs de fréquence Vacon pour la commande de centrifugeuses d’enrichissement d’uranium.
