Zohreh Elahian est une législatrice et partisane de la ligne dure, ainsi qu’un membre de la commission de la sécurité nationale et de la politique étrangère du parlement iranien. Elle fait partie des 227 membres du parlement qui ont signé une déclaration, le 6 novembre 2022, faisant l’éloge des forces de sécurité pour avoir exécuté des manifestants et exhortant le système judiciaire à accélérer les procès et à condamner des manifestants à mort en les déclarant coupables de “Moharebeh” ou “guerre contre Dieu”. En tant que membre du parlement iranien, Elahian a soutenu l’exécution, la détention et la torture de personnes lors des manifestations organisées à travers le pays en 2022. Elle est donc responsable de graves violations des droits de l’homme en Iran.
