Husband of Golikova Tatiana Alexeyevna who is a Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. President of the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) since May 2016. He was chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission from 1 February 2012 to 1 February 2016 and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia from 31 May 1999 to 10 January 2000 and Minister of Industry from 9 March 2004 to 31 January 2012. Despite not currently holding top positions in the formal hierarchy of Russian power, he remains part of the political elite and is closely connected to senior officials through his own contacts and through his wife, Tatiana Golikova, who will retain her position as deputy chairman of the Russian government. According to Alexei Navalny's investigation, Viktor Khristenko benefits significantly from corruption schemes involving the supply of medicines, in which Tatiana Golikova and Russian pharmaceutical oligarch Viktor Kharitonin are involved.
