"German engineering  firm MAN SE rejected accusations by a U.S. lobby group it was violating European Union sanctions against Iran, saying it was complying with all regulations. The group 'United Against Nuclear Iran'  claims MAN was involved in the construction  of oil tankers for Iran, fitting vessels with MAN engines and also selling vehicles to the country, according to a statement on the group's website, dated Jan. 9. MAN said on Wednesday that it had decided in 2010 not to take on new business  with Iran and was fulfilling contracts it signed before 2010, in accordance with international law." "Iranian oil ministry will sue the German Company MAN for not fulfilling its commitment at Shazand refinery, Mehr news agency reported Monday. MAN had to deliver high tech equipments such as turbo compressors and train Iranian technicians adequately but none was done, Mehr cited Alireza Zeyghami, the MD of the National Iranian Oil Company for Refining and Distribution. Zeyghami stated the contract with MAN was signed before the sanctions were imposed on Iran adding the oil minister has consequently ordered to stop license contracts with European firms at refinery projects. The news agency says that MAN was not the only European company which has not fulfilled its duties."
