Summary	A private militia established in 2013 thanks to funding from the businessman Ayman Jaber, and it is led by his brother Muhammad Jaber. It fought several battles alongside the Syrian Arab Army. The Desert Hawks Brigade is one of the armed private militias affiliated with the Syrian Arab Army that fought on the side of the Syrian government in the Syrian Civil War. This auxiliary to the Syrian army was dissolved in August 2017, and its members were transferred to the Fifth Corps and the Third Armored Division, becoming regular soldiers. It is spread in Hama, Homs and Aleppo and to a lesser extent in Damascus, its approximate number is 6000.
