State Security Branch of Sweida (Branch 312)

The State Security branch of Sweida (Branch 312) is a branch of the General Intelligence Service. It has similar departments to those of the central branches in Damascus, and they have the same subject-matter jurisdiction and the same functions but within the governorate. Each branch has departments and detachments that operate across the governorate. Each town or village has a security officer in charge, responsible for the summonses by security branches and for making security reports. Brigadier General Salem al-Hawsh, who is reportedly affiliated with Russia, has headed Branch 312 since May 2019. Al-Hawsh represents the Director of the General Intelligence Directorate, Hussam Luqa, in managing the governorate security—previously managed by the Military Security.

أحد فروع جهاز المخابرات العامة. توجد فيه أقسام مشابهة للفروع المركزية بدمشق، وتتمتع بنفس اختصاصاتها ولها نفس عملها لكن في حدود المحافظة. ويتبع لكل فرع منها أقسام ومفارز تتوزع في مختلف أرجاء المحافظة، ولكل بلدة أو قرية عنصر أمني مسؤول عنها وعن إجراء الدراسات الأمنية فيها وعن عمليات الاستدعاء للفروع الأمنية. يترأسه منذ أيار 2019، العميد سالم الحوش الذي تقول المصادر انه محسوب على روسيا، ويمثل رئيس شعبة المخابرات العامة، حسام لوقا، في إدارة الملف الأمني للمحافظة، بعد ان كان هذا الملف من مهام الأمن العسكري.
