عملت هذه الميليشيا في سورية منذ آذار/ مارس عام 2013، وتعمل تحت قيادة ميليشيا “أبو الفضل العباس”، ويقودها هاشم الحمداني الملقب (أبو آلاء) وتعمل هذه الميليشيا في القلمون الغربي والغوطة الشرقية، ويبلغ عديد عناصرها 7000 مقاتل. للميليشيا مواقع عسكرية مع حدود العراق عبر معبر البوكمال العسكري، تشير المصادر إلى دور هذه النقاط في عمليات التهريب عبر الحدود السورية العراقية.
