Vice-Admiral Arkady Romanov is, since October 2021, the Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy, which is subordinate to the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, and has been involved in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. In taking on and acting in this capacity, he is supporting and implementing actions and policies which undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
